Avoca Woollen Mills

Stop into Avocas Woollen Mills and break up your day with a bit of Shopping. Avoca Woollen Mills is one of Ireland’s oldest and most beloved hand-weaving mills, dating back to 1723. Known for its signature, tweed fabrics, the mill is famous for their wide array of textiles - from scarves to throws. There are also small shops where you can purchase unique, handcrafted items to cherish.

 

The Powerscourt Estate

After Avoca, Discover the Powerscourt Estate which holds the 68 roomed Powerscourt House and scenic gardens. The mansion was completed in 1741 and was made to resemble a medieval castle in pelladian style. The Powerscourt Gardens have been named as the third best garden in the world by the National Geographic. It covers 47 acres of land and features multiple ancient statues, secret hallows and walking trails, crystal lakes and terraces. The infamous Sugar loaf mountain is one of many picturesque views from the Gardens.
